The Great State Fair of Oklahoma!

The State Fair comes around once a year and my favorite part about it is that it never changes. The people watching is always amazing. The booths are always in the same place. You can always see Disney on Ice. There will always be one Miley Cyrus during her Hannah Montana years wannabe on the Bandshell Lawn. There will always be the mac and cheese ferris wheel. There will always be the smell of funnel cakes and corndogs.

This year marks the third year Leah and I have gone to the State Fair on opening day. It's become one of my favorite things. It's still going on until September 21, so I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite things. Also, hey there people who don't live in Oklahoma.

The Who:
Leah, my best friend and third year first day state fair partner.

The What (We Ate):
French Toast Bacon Cheeseburger with Fried Egg and a side of syrup
 Combination Basket
(Fried Vegetables)
Cap-N-Crunch Chicken Strips
Also, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip-N-Dots (not pictured).

 The What (We Did):
A Wild West Comedy Show
Flashback to last year!
Look at awesome birds of prey
I also paid to hold a screech owl here. I was a bit excited.
We inadvertently met the news cast of KOCO 5 at 5.
Made some friends at the petting zoo.
Literally that goat stayed like that for five minutes on Leah and every single deer in the zoo tried to eat my shirt at least once. I don't know what was happening. They also had some pigs, more goats, sheep, kangaroos, and some chickens! Obviously, I couldn't resist taking a #llamie.
I dominated a dart balloon popping game and won myself the IT'S SO FLUFFY unicorn.
Then we went to Disney on Ice: Let's Celebrate!
It centers around Mickey, Minnie, and the gang but this year was overflowing with characters. All the classic princesses were there (minus Aurora and Rapunzel) with their male counterparts of course. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and that terrifying freaking Troll from Toy Story were there. Jack Skellington and a lot of the villians were there to scare Mickey as Yensid. Peter Pan, Jepetto, and Mowgli made appearances too! All in all, it was an awesome show, but I think the Troll was scarier than the villians!

What We Didn't (That we have before):
 Wine-A-Ritas and the Agricultural Building

Things We Will Always Do
Combination Basket

Also, this kid.
Just, this kid.
He made this face the entire time they held him.

Until Next Time,
