Last Minute Ideas

Hey guys! So my plan was to make a video containing last minute Halloween costume ideas; however, I did not give myself enough time to make said video and in fact just failed royally. I still wanted to give you my ideas though, pulling from my own costumes from Halloweens past.

  • 1. Deviled Egg
    • My mom made this hilarious costumes for Heather and I. It's as simple as sewing white circles together with yellow circles in the middle and buying devil accessories.

  •  2. 50's Zombie
    • This was for a themed party. I could've gone a little more gorey, but I was trying to just look dead without the disgusting aspect. I bought a 50's style dress and did the roll in my hair with pale makeup.

Hiking for the first time

Leah and I went to the Wichita Mountains Elk Mountain Trail. It's about a 2.4 mile round trip hike and we did it in about 2 hours. I know one mile per hour may not sound that impressive if you've never hiked a mountain (ie Me a week a go), but trust me - I'm impressed. This hike specifically was full of "rock hopping" and stair climbing. It was colder than anticipated, but luckily Leah had an extra jacket for me in her car. I made a vlog about it and thought I'd share some pictures with you guys too!

Vlogging is a thing now?

So, it's been a year since I met my wonderful boyfriend, Myke D (a little over now) and to celebrate we stayed in a cabin/caboose for a weekend! We did a lot of fun stuff including the zoo and a spontaneous rodeo! I thought it would be fun to kind of.. take you guys along with us, so I made a vlog of our weekend! Don't worry, Myke was totally into it. He is a professional after all.

Side Bar - for those of you who don't know Myke, he's a Senior Producer and Videographer at an ad agency here in Oklahoma City. He's basically a local celebrity. No really, he's been in the paper 3 times since he moved here.

Part 1 is a tour of our "Love Caboose". It's this perfect little train caboose that's been remodeled into a cabin. It has a queen size bed, a kitchen, table with benches, and of course a little bathroom. Outside, there's a hot tub, porch swing, hammock, and fire pit!

Part 2 is a little glimpse into our actual weekend! We went to a zoo and an impromptu rodeo, also spent a lot of time being bums in the cabin :)

What's your favorite weekend getaway? Thatcherville turned out to be a pretty great little spot for us!

Until Next Time,
