My Weekend

Happy Tuesday y'all! I guess this weekend was a pretty big one with Valentine's Day and President's Day on in one! I'd like to share with you how my three day weekend went! Friday night, Myke and I went for sushi for a pre-valentine's day date. Saturday Leahlove and I went to see 50 Shades of Grey and sat in the balcony! We had appetizers and drinks for our meal cause we do what we want! The movie itself was of course, not great, but the lady date was on point! We definitely were talking a lot during the movie, but luckily so was everyone else. When I got back home Myke surprised me with cheesecake stuffed chocolate covered strawberries... I live! They were absolutely amazing. We exchanged cards in secrecy, hiding them in the house for each other to find. I love writing people gushy novellas in their cards, but feel really uncomfortable watching them read them! Then we walked three miles because fitness. For dinner we ordered Thai and watched Idiot Abroad.

Sunday I went with Myke to Genghis Grill. It was so much fun! I got to meet the team and I really feel confident that he has a great group of people behind him! For those of you who don't know - Myke got picked to compete in the Genghis Grill Health Kwest 2105. It's a 60 day challenge wherein he eats at GG every day and completes a social media task. At the end of the challenge, the competitor who's lost the most weight AND has the most social media points wins $10,000! He's about a week in now and he's already killing it! When we got back from lunch we went on another three mile walk. We made a friend - Herbie the duck walked with us for a mile and a little kitty followed us for a moment. This time we got my new obsession - canteloupe cream tea with baby tapioca. I haven't looked up the calories, I don't want to know. It's absolutely incredible. It tastes fresh, sweet, but not sugary. It's everything to me right now.

Sunday night Myke made the most delicious pizza with garlic butter sauce, Italian chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, bacon, and three kinds of cheese! He also made cheesy bread because why not? We've been cooking a lot more and I love it so much! Even something just as easy as pasta with pesto tastes so good when you can make it in your pajamas!

Monday morning I woke up to two inches of ice on the road - no thanks. Luckily, I have a high value on my life and my car AND have vacation time. I slept until 11, wonderfully I might add. Then went to Genghis with Myke again. Now everyone there is on *my* side too and are going to help keep the ladies off my already sexy, now shrinking man. After that we headed to Hobby Lobby for some poster supplies (part of his challenge). We walked three miles to and from my tea again! That night we spent some time with his aunt and cousin who were stopping through on their way back home to Minnesota!

Did you guys have a great weekend as well?

Until Next Time,

  3. Everyone is talking about 50 Shades, but no one is actually saying whether it's good or not. I didn't like the books at all, so I doubt I'll be seeing the movie, but i was curious what people thought. Also, I'm jealous that your weather is warm enough to walk outside for 3 miles :)

    1. I feel like I have so much to say about 50 Shades, but everyone's so touchy about it. I thought the movie was entertaining. I wasn't bored at all, I laughed even. I would recommend seeing it if you liked the books or think the movie looks interesting. A lot of the problems I had with the book aren't even in the movie. I was underwhelmed by the book so I wasn't surprised that the movie didn't blow me away either you know?
